Yes, I am attending AX on Saturday.  Currently my schedule is to catch up with some old friends and then head to the DC LA Meetup.  Super Exciting!

My costume this year may merely look like a plain school girl uniform that was thrown together with items from Goodwill, but it is actually-

The idea sounded *heelareeous* at first.  I would pass out envelopes with little heart stickers and get a few laughs here and there.  And then I got a little bored with the idea.  But by then, I had 50 heart stickers.  : /  Whoops!  Gotta see this through to the end now.

So I guess I will be writing my blog’s url on the envelopes and use it as my “card” for the meetup,  Oh man, I will look so unprofessional. D:  (As well as like a little whore.  What kind of girl makes 50 love confession letters!? Gasp!)

Bah.  At least the my “schoolbag” is cute with all those character mascots.

Oh yeah, and that little thing before the jump is to the tune from this old cartoon.  Anyone else remember it from thier childhood days?

I’m not really sure how to start this post, so I guess I’ll just start it!

I think have to apologize once again for my erratic online presence.    Thank you those who still keep this tiny little blog in their feeds! (;_;)  I think it’s passed the one year mark since I’ve created this place as well.  I still remember sneaking on to wordpress in high school around this time last year!

Hm.. so what’s up with me…I not-so-recently attended Sac Anime.  It seemed pretty small as I was accustomed to the size of AX.  But it was a fun day!  I managed to get a poster autographed by Chris Sarandon. (Aka the voice of Jack Skellington)

I haven’t watched much anime recently, though I’m considering picking up Angel Beats and Working! next season.  Oh, and K-ON for my source of pure  brain-melting moe of course.  My super awesome guitarist friend decided to watch the first season after hearing Azusa’s solo.  I’ve told him that he has to sit through a lot of high school girls eating cakes before hearing them play, but I think he doesn’t mind.  Cake is nice after all. (Speaking of K-on, I think the preorders for the Azusa figma are still open right? )

Funny I should mention figmas.  I brought my Miku Figma up to school after winter break.  Before the school year started I didn’t bring any figures because I thought they might be stolen.  But what I should have been concerned with is the fact that poseability + removable skirt is a recipe for disaster.

Right now I can’t find the skirt for her!  So I guess Miku has to constantly flash her panties for now.

These past few months have been rather interesting for me socially and emotionally.  I’m a lot more social than I was in high school, that’s for sure.  Someone mentioned that it seemed as if I would have been popular in high school, which is odd considering I was the kid that people knew but didn’t know anything about.  Now a lot of my free time is spent fending off J and his roommate simply talking to people.

During my next term of school I’m not planning on seeing the sun very much, as I think I’ll be rather busy.  It’s too bad considering it’s spring and all.  Who knows, maybe I’ll finally meet someone to be my special boy?   (And J can stop asking me “So..any special boy in your life yet?” five times a day.)

I’ve been dabbing in fabrics and crafts a little lately.  I recently started to crochet and I hope to be able to make some adorable little animals eventually.  Over winter I also made a Holden Caulfield people-shooting  hat.

I would have liked to end this post with some scantily clad girls but I left those sketches at school. :<  I’ll be able to get them in a week though!

Man, I really need to get back into the blogging scene.  From quickly glancing at my feeds, is it just me or is everybody updating less these days?  Anyway, after finals, a few of my friends decided to have an all-nighter party watching none other than….

School Days!  The high school love story of high school love stories!  It was a fun-filled night indeed.  Filled with hot pockets, redbull, and various other shenanigans.

As far as art progress has gone, I haven’t been drawing much.  With the exception of the first picture of this post (which I actually am rather satisfied with, unlike most of my work) and some birthday cards for people…

Anyway, I’m homework-free for the winter break and I need to find ways to keep myself occupied!  So far I have a meido costume planned, more drawing, and cooking. And of course, reading and writing more posts. :3

By the way, does anyone know of SacAnime?  I’m planning on attending, and I’ve never been before. Any extra info on it, as well as other norcal conventions would be great. (Yaoicon anyone? :3)

Hello and welcome back to my the Cozy Coco Cafe! 

This post is about exactly what the title says it’s about.

The Awesome:

• Sweet, sweet FREEDOM! If anyone remembers my desk post, I mentioned that I have very strict and protective parents, so this whole “on my own” thing is vastly different from what I’m use to. I like being able to go to the store by myself, thank you very much.

• The people here are all so amazing! They’re friendly, interesting, quirky, and great to be around. Except when they’re mad at you because you messed up their guitar hero score. Haha.

• The campus itself is really nice too! I always find myself looking at the surrounding scenery while biking back to my dorm. Especially during evening.

• Mixing random salts and acids in lab. Especially fun when it results in heat and vapors.

• Making creeper faces by windows. (My new way of saying hello!)

• No one gives a damn if you need to go the bathroom during class. I had some pretty anal high school teachers that deducted points when you did.

• I have time to put on makeup in the morning now. Just because I’m acting like a zombie because of lack of sleep, doesn’t mean I have to look like one!

• Cows. Moo.

The Not-so-awesome:

• Dorm rooms that just smell awful! There’s a thing called febreeze, people!

• Rain >:[ On the day of the first rain of the school year, I went through three pairs of pants because they kept getting drenched. And the wind kept turning my umbrella inside out.

• Essays! I absolutely despise writing them. I’d gladly trade writing a paper for double the math homework. No, triple!

• Distractions from much needed-studying. (Actually, that fits in the 50/50 category)

• Though it’s not a big deal now because I’ve adjusted, it was when I first started: the morning traffic. Bikes, cars, bikes, buses, bikes, people, bikes, stupid people who decide to text while jaywalking, bikes, a segway, bikes.

• Midterms ugggh. I’m on the quarter system so I already had all my first midterms. Some people still have them this week though.

Overall, college has been hella nice so far. (I..didn’t just say “hella.” What are you talking about? I’m still a SoCal girl! *shifty eyes *) I don’t have any major transitional issues either. (Except that I miss my doggy!)

I really need to find a way to install my scanner software again so I can post my doodles.  :<

I should probably edit my about page too.  It’s out of date!  And draw a new self portrait.

Also, as of right now I’m really eying the figma Nanoha. :3c

I told you I was messy (Oh yes, and that is a shiny new-ish laptop)

Now that it’s nearly time for me to go off to school, I’ve been in the process of cleaning and reorganizing my desk, as well as other areas of the house for my parents to use.  It feels funny seeing everything changing.  The manga that use to take up the second shelf of my bookcase has been replaced by my dad’s wastewater treatment handbooks ^^;

Likewise, all my figures are going into storage since I can’t take them along with me.  This is…a very emotional time for me, as  figure collector.  *BAAAAAAAAWWWW*  I’m actually only bringing one along, and hopefully it won’t get lost.

Oh Rin figma, I shall miss you lots. Sorry I kept forgetting to paint your dagger. :<

Hot damn, I’m finally going to college! In a matter of days I’ll be traveling miles and miles north. As of right now, I’m a biochemical engineering major, but I’m already thinking of switching. Leaning towards maybe biomedical or environmental engineering, but I’ll see. Part of me wants to major in biology too.  Gosh, I’m so indecisive. I have lots to think about. In fact, sometimes I think I’ve been over thinking it. Even my dad has been telling me to stop worrying so much. From what I hear, studying engineering can be brutal, so I’m probably metaphorically shooting myself in the foot. But it’s okay! I wouldn’t have it any other way. :3

*Sigh* It dawned on me as I was sipping coffee last night that I’m really going to miss my high school friends. Maaaaaan, why are most of you going to schools in SoCal!? You guys suck. Imma punch you all in the face. I’m going to miss saying “Imma punch you in the face” to your faces. (;___;) ( I do, however, have one close friend going to the same school as me ^^)

Well, it’s off to start a brand new, exciting chapter of my life! ^^

I have finally completed a satisfactory photoshoot of the Unity Mei/May figure that I won from Alafista’s anniversary contest months back.  She’s a beauty indeed. :3  Rest of the pics are under the jump.  (Pantsu warning, obviously)

Because normalcy is boring, I did this photoshoot in “reverse”, which is cast off to clothed.  This will 1.) Save you the trouble of scrolling down to the pictures of *cough* higher interest 2.) Save me the time and labor of dressing and then undressing her (I’ve been displaying her half casted-off  the whole summer because she just takes up so much room)

Actually,  in the few photoshoots I’ve seen of her, no one has bothered to take her skirt off.  Am I the first adventurous enough to do so?

I was thinking of the cast off feature of Unity Yuno, and wondered if you can do the same to May.  Surprise, surprise!  Her right bra/pastie can be moved, though I’m too scared to see if you can yank it off completely.  It’s anatomically correct underneath, but it’s missing some color, if you know what I mean. (Unless she’s suppose to be some sort of robot, but then again if she’s a robot then why would she nee-OOOH eroge.  Gotcha)

Although she takes up  a lot of room, she looks fantastic with all her gear on.

I moved her from the table since the sun was starting to come out.  It’s pretty cloudy today for summer.  But clouds>smoke anyday.  Two weeks ago the sky was covered with smog and ash because of the fires.

Get your ugly face out of the way, dog.

Her base is nicely done as well.  Better then the usual plain base that’s for sure.

The hat is adorable but it falls off ALL the time.  (Notice the small white dent)  Don’t keep her somewhere where you might bump into her.

If you haven’t noticed, the time I’ve been spending in the otaku fandom has become infrequent and erratic.  Don’t fret; I haven’t forgotten about you guys and I’m not disappearing.  I’ve just had a lot happen lately in my personal life.

I’m on AIM a lot more these days, so feel free to yell at me/tell me you love me.  My current main SN is cocobeans142.  FairyPresea is my other one but sometimes I forget to turn it off invisible mode.  I also have a habit of wrong window-ing, so if I send you ascii genitalia I apologize in advance. orz

Little yandere girl (boy?) unrelated.

What’s this, what’s this?  My first convention report?  I finally finished processing all my photos?  I finally got photos on photobucket without it crapping up on me? Huzzah!

A quick rundown of what I can remember:

• Got there around 9:10-ish, ran around for twenty minutes trying to find badge pickup
• Went to the dealer’s room with my sophisticated French man (Who will from now on be referred to as either Frenchie or Zub,  but mostly Zub.)
• Saw Shingo at the J-list booth and chatted for a bit. Apparently Heisei Democracy’s “death” was caused by none other then World of Warcraft. Come back to us Shingo!
• Called some of my friendzies but they were putting on makeup or at home.  Lame.
• Finally found Raine, who I haven’t seen in bit.
• Told Zub he better not watch Queen’s Blade. :B
• Got to meet Kurot at the Artist Alley!  Bought her Anise and Arietta print. The last one too!
• Found a cool-looking Sheryl Nome cosplayer, who turned out to be none other than Dancing Queen!
• Wanted to go to the MangaGamer booth (Their new mascot is cute!) to get one of those fans, but it was 18+ only.  Should have made Zub do it. Oh well.
• Finally caught up with KuroAce and LittleKiwiGirl.  Went to their hotel room while dressed in cosplay and looking like a freak
• Was picked up by other friends in the area who were buying fireworks from Chinatown.  Ate ramen at Little Tokyo while still looking like a freak.  But it was okay because other cosplayers from the convention were there too.
• Got back to the convention when my sister already started watching the AMV contest, so I sat around and talked with Zub for 3  or 4 hours. We also played Time Crisis in the arcade but I sucked.

So, in conclusion, it was a day of meeting, chatting, and heartburn-inducing ramen eating.  It didn’t feel as “anime convention” like as in previous years but it was still a load of fun.

He’s not an anime fan by any means,  but he plays his fair share of games.  (Wait, so why did he go to AX you say?  To accompany me of course <3 ) Unlike Lightningsabre, I did not manage to convert a non fan to otakudom.  I actually think I traumatized him just a little bit.  (Actually it was the crossplayers lol)

I’ll be wearing this at AX tomorrow, which is the only day I will be going.   It would have been great to go to DancingQueen’s panel and the DC meetup but I can’t go on Saturday, unfortunately.  If you see me do drop by and say hi, I won’t have a cleaver with me, promise.  I’ll most likely be hopping around with various friends’ groups, but I’ll be with a ~Sexy French Man~ for the whole time I’m there. He’s my personal bodyguard. :3  (No, he’s not a Hetalia cosplayer.  And France isn’t sexy anyway)
